I can't quite understand all this talk of a change of tactics in the second half. We played with one up front for most of the match and definitely after we scored. Lee Burns was playing behind Rook virtually from the start.  I was trying to count how many Danny Harris's we had on the pitch, but they moved around so much I had to give up. As for being nervous,  xshrug, I thought this was quite a comfortable win. Boreham Wood had a lot of possession in the second half but never really threatened us and the only save that Andy Young had to make was very early in the match.
A very "professional" 1-0 win.

MoM: Danny Harris.

Damn you Mr Ronaldo! I've just written a post saying very nearly the same as the above and thank goodness I clicked the refresh button. I'll go away and think of something else.

Yesterday would have demonstrated to any neutral why we are top. In the first half such was our assurance that the 3rd placed team on their own ground looked distinctly second best apart from the early shot. Yes, the Ashfords, the Crays and the Borehamwoods have their spells where they have more of the ball - but they dont actually win do they? Over the course of the season I think TB and the team have demonstrated time and again that we can trust them to do what is necessary.

A first clean sheet - is it since Chipstead in the Trophy?- was also nice to see.

As Mr R says, a very professional victory.

Yes Stoaty, our 1st clean sheet since Chipstead and in the league we may have to go back to mid October and Tonbridge at home when we won 2-0

I think that this weekend could be huge for us . With Wealdstone & Kingstonian both playing on a heavy pitch only two days before they will surely struggle this Weekend .
Wealdstone are up against Margate who have just got a new manager and will be well up for that match, while Kingstonian play Tonbridge Angels which will not be easy .
If we can get the win then I think we will look back at this weekend at the end of the season and say that's when won it.

As per my previous post I now think its game over for the rest of the teams trying to catch us
This was one of our best performances of the season, it was a delight to see the ball being played on the deck and at times we passed Boreham Wood to death.
1-0 does not really justify our dominance and this could have quite easily been 3 which would have been a more realistic reflection of superiority.

Well done Dartford – Champions elect  xbow xbow xbow

In a team full of heroes yesterday it seems unfair to pick a MotM (and I agree that Danny Harris was everywhere and that Carl Rook is a class act)  but I've gone for Adam Flanagan who simply didn't miss anything in the air and who provided (I think) the key move that got us the goal.

At times during the first half Borehamwood looked terrified, bewildered and just plain scared at what was happening to them.  Very enjoyable day.

Enjoyed the match, thought we were in control and ran the game for long periods, Elliot and Flanners superb, Harris sublime, praise for the whole team, only thing missing was our second goal and to be honest B Wood didn't really trouble us. Thought  there were about 275 Darts fans there.

saturdays team had a really good balancee with naturally sided players on the [ midfield ] wings eg danny on right and eliot on left and the flow showed

when ryno plays right and lee noble on left  , both continually switch inside onto their favoured foot and clog it all up

both will have to work hard to get back in??????

thought the ref had a good game yesyterday although the lino [ with the poofie haircut ] was crap

danny harris a great siging , terrific team player , averaging just over a goal every 2 games , a real fans favourite

A very professional performance yesterday and what a welcome relief to keep a clean sheet again.

MOTM for me had to be Danny Harris who was brilliant yesterday.

Another good away turn out again also. Boreham Woods highest crowd of the season by a long way.
