Dartford FC Supporters
« on: February 24, 2010, 12:26:58 PM »

After the Tonbridge match and a good few beers talk of the DFC suppoters team rose up again. A couple of us are up for starting a 5 a-side team at goals dartford on a monday night to work off the beer and keep fit.

Would be good if we could get a supporters team going through this and if/when a tornament arises in the summer we could enter and be a little bit fitter!

It doesnt matter if your not the greatest because were doing it to keep fit and have a game. However it would be nice to win once in a while!

Let me know if your intrested and we can start to arrange joining the goals league.

PS - Sorry just realised this may be in the wrong forum!

so far we have myself, a guy who played last time (ossie) and jack F who average at about 20! Im not sure Hudson's age but ideally we should aim for 7 or 8 players of all ages. the youngsters can run around and do the fit bit and the others can tell them what to do! So hudson/2scoops/old timer/KP - u all intrested?

I will contact goals this week to find out if we can join in the following week or the week after.

If there is interest in starting a vets team then why not enter the Hayden Youth summer tournament on June 12/13 in Wilmington. From ages under 7s to under 15s, this year we are also running a 5 a side Vets tournament on the Sunday afternoon.

The tournament is considered one of the best around  xnod

WW would the Welsh Tavern be interested in entering a vets team?

Anyone else involved in youth football wants to enter a team at any age group just let me know xtip

Gary.C has already mentioned this and yes there is a fair chance we will.

I have contacted goals dartford and there is a position in one of their monday night leagues avaible. we can start as early as this monday if we have enough players. However i believe we can start at the beginning of a new league if we wait till next monday.

Also where do people prefer to play?

Who can make a week monday?

ossie - on pitch

Unfortunately there is another tournament going on in South Africa at the same time which I have already pledged my allegiance to (first game is 11/06 Uruaguay v France in Cape Town) otherwise I would have gladly offered the services of my silky skills. xwhis
