I didn't think Billericay played that well to be honest. We gifted them the goals because we were undisicplined and threw everyone forward and got hit on the break a good few times today. The midfield didn't protect the defense enough and, as frustrating as he is, I think Dafter provides much better protection than the other lads. We didn't play well at all but I don't think we were outplayed.

We should have put Burns in defence after being 2-1 down and used our subs better. We deserved to lose!
We did not use the full ability of the players we have and for that the supporters started to leave 10 minutes before the end.
Worst match I have seen for years.

I maybe in the minority but I was a little disappointed with Flans notes. I don’t necessarily disagree with what he said and fully understand he is doing the captains bit but the fact that the vast majority are all behind TB and the team and give tremendous support should IMO be more important than a few negative comments on the forum and at some home fixtures. Believe me I am also not happy about some of the comments at this crucial stage of the season (especially the ones about who should be at the club next season) but let’s not forget they are in the minority.

Our fantastic ground and recent success has also meant we have attracted quite a lot of new supporters who may not have the same level of understanding of our history and non league football; this may be the reason for some of the negative comments.

It is after all only a few comments on the forum and when one does appear it is pretty much shot down straight away by the rest of us. This usually results in the original poster either disappearing for a while or coming back on and saying that’s not what they really meant. I think our forum is fantastic and one of the best around, in comparison to others I have had a brief look at it is also one of the fairest. I know the players will always read it but please guys focus on the vast majority who are all behind you and not on the one or two that don’t really understand what’s going on.

As for the booing and stick at home games, I’m sorry but this occurs at all levels of football and nothing anybody says is ever going to change that, especially when there is a decent size crowd. Whether you are top of the league or bottom if you have a bad game or even make mistakes someone will probably give you some stick. Whether it is deserved or not unfortunately does not really enter into the equation. It is naïve to think it won’t so unfortunately we will all just have to get on with it. Let’s be fair it’s only that small minority who are negative and we should focus on the positive rather than the negative.

Flan, is your glass half empty or half full??
If it’s half empty after this I better fill it up for you and I’ll also pay your fine for reading the forum.

With regards to home games, every team is under higher expectation to win them. With us top of the league, 11pts clear, a superb ground and big support surely this should be as much if not more of a lift to our players. After all they have done fantastic to get us in the league position we are currently in and our home record is still pretty good, so they should all be playing with the confidence their efforts deserve. Whilst I agree that clubs who come to us are looking forward to playing at PP and want to beat the league leaders I’ve never really understood how they can raise their game to another level with an inferior squad to ours and we can’t raise ours to counteract it. I would like to see us come out all guns blazing and really put teams under pressure early on. We just haven’t seemed to have done lately and have allowed teams to settle quickly and start to enjoy their day.

Don’t think anybody would doubt the players don’t give 100%, if that was ever the case I’m pretty sure TB would be the first to know and act long before the supporters did and I’m pretty sure Flan would also have something to say about it.

Will be there Tuesday cheering the team on again and probably (if he's not fit) buying Flan a half!!!!!!

Good post WW, lets move on to Maidstone, (and be happy we don't meet Billericay every week).

Having watched the other team get to Wembley (again!) I arrived at Princes park looking for a double... Oh Dear!
To quote several other posts " A bad day at the office"
Am I the only optimistic one that we will win on Tuesday?

PS Can you put a spell check on as it took me a while to spell optimistic. perhaps i should have said positive!

Yes good post indeed by WW i suppose i am just as upset with the home performances and i agree booing is not acceptable but i suppose a small section will always do that.

Some of these fans never knew indeed the old days playing at other grounds ... freezing our nuts off on a windy pitch playing Furness and having the disappointment  of coming second. Playing at Erith and Belverdere  ect ect they are very fortunate to have Princes Park and they must realise it's not the norm.

I am i suppose like the rest of the old fans surprised how we do find it harded this year at Princes i don't remember it being like that when we won Ryman North - teams seemed to try and shut up shop and we would attack attack attack.

One thing TB will have to address though because i'm sure Con South will be a lot harder to get results away from home so our home form will be key.

Well done to Biillericay they deserved the win and it would have been more bar a couple of good saves from Andy.

You can't fault T.B. he puts out tthe same team as last week bar Flanners who was injured and then sees none of the players put in a good performance bar Burnsie who was at least trying.

I can fault Flanners though for some of the match day programme comments, I don't condone the booing, but all the time you have a Forum which is where you expect all fans who bother to post to air their personal views, then the day that everyone is praising every player at every game, is the time to stop the Forum, never mind the posts.

That will be the day we all turn into sheep and it's bah bah bah not boo boo boo.

Players have an off day and looking at todays game some posters say, the better team won, others that it was a bad day at the office, some even that it's a home game at P.P. all of which I would agree with, but let's also be truthful about the players and not beat about the bush.

At P.P. the players gave a P.P.P. (p**s poor performance) today which Flanners will have to accept and if this doesn't motivate the players to get over it and beat the c**p out of Maidstone on Tuesday I wiill be very surprised.

I will be there to see it Tuesday lads so don't let me down, come out fighting from the start, and bear in mind that a lot of other fans will also be wanting it as well, especially those who were singing to the bitter end.

I've seen so many poor performances over the years, followed by a team rebounding back to form for the next game, so call it what you will, bad day at the office P.P.P. etc, but expect a different showing at the Maidstone game.

I gave Andy the M.O.M. just to make a change from Burnsie and for the two exceptional saves he made.

Can't fault Flanner's for his notes.  Very honest and from the heart and that's what I want to read from the Captain and the manager. But...

Reading Flan's notes it appears a bit of a catch 22 situation.  The players enjoy and relax away from home, as do the crowd.  If the players don't relax and enjoy their football at home games it's tough as a supporter to relax and enjoy watching them.

Most of the crowd will be keeping the faith with the team that got us to the top of the league but it's hard not to go to matches expecting to win, especially at home.  After all it is TB's own formula that to win championships you win your home games whilst picking up points on your travels.  For me it's up to the boss and the players to relax a bit and start enjoying their football.

The players are all lucky, IMO, to be able to play at PP and play for DFC.  We're a great club, steeped in history and with a very bright future.  In the main our support is fantastic.  I certainly feel lucky to support Dartford and if I look at the alternatives they're not great.  Imagine if I were born not in Dartford but in Chatham, Sittingbourne or god forbid in Ashford or Aveley!  Yes, things could be a lot worse!  The players have the same options, just look at where the players that have left in the past couple of years have wound up...  Chatham, Folkestone, Sittingbourne, Concord Rangers!   Concord Rangers!!!!  Surely the thought of that spurs the players on, knowing that if things don't go well at Dartford they could end up at Concord Rangers????

So enjoy Dartford and PP whilst you can!  It can't be a that bad a place to play, I'm always seeing ex-players in the stands watching when their DFC playing days have ended and I'm sure the ones that have ended up down the ladder all watch and think what might have been for them!

didnt play well, to many players below par, it happens now and then, as for bill and ricky they played well, had a good front line, but can also see how they lose so many with a comedy keeper, motm for me danny harris at least he kept trying as did mr burns, still a great season, so on to maidstone. Up the darts.

A pity to lose in such a way from the lead we had opened..... whole team was rather off song. Would echo comments about Young and Burns, perhaps a field full of 'em and we'd have won it, but there you go. We're still in a great position and results again were kind to us yesterday (a shame we are having to look over our shoulders, but it'll only be for another month maximum).

Was absolutely apalled by boos / negativity and even sardonic chants by a couple of pint-sized little pricks who stood behind the goal in the second half. If they are on this forum they will know who they are. Next time you decide to sing songs about TB and 'Tartford', you can expect more than the few crossed words you got from me yesterday.

Rant over and apologies for losing it, but I think most of us will agree these are the kind of 'fans' any club can do nicely without. Looking on to Maidstone, Ryno and Haworth to start. 3 points please you DARTS!!!!

Edit: If you weren't born in Dartford TLD, you do what Hudson and I did - watch Ramsgate / Margate or MOVE!!

My final word on this one; maybe Flanners or indeed TB can remind the players to do their taking on the pitch as young Theo Walcott did this week!
