There's not a whole lot happening here. The pitch classification is 'bottomless'

To be fair, I'm not sure we would have got a bigger gate for a Tuesday night home game against Maidstone when playing away from the town.

Just a thought. I used to play those football manager games you get on the PC or playstation, and I was more than happy to take a small team up from non-league to the heady heights (and changing the teams name to Dartford on the way). However, then Maidstone elbowed their way in. They DID get up into league football, selling their ground and using the profits to finance a middling tier four side. This financial ineptitude was duly rewarded by them going into oblivion and dragging us down with them. Suddenly, the football manager game dream of surging into league football, and rising up through the leagues to knock ManU off their perch seemed less appealing (while still being highly unlikely). Now we are bubbling our way up. Does anyone think maybe we should be happy to stick to non league football and be small but perfectly formed, or does anyone out there still dream the big dream of a tier three kick off in august year 2??? against Grimsby?

I was never happy at school. This one time the headmaster called me into his office. I was terrified. My friend jimmy went to his office and he could'nt sit down for a week, so I'm thinking please, please don't let him find me sexually attractive.

As  I recall, we tried it and did'nt get very big gates either. Perhaps Maidstones problem is that they don't move far enough away. People would maybe go to see them if they played in (for example) Truro, as they would'nt know what they were like! xfinger
