According to the BBC Sport site, Ebbsfleet are playing Friday, Saturday and Monday........and all against fellow relegation candidates. I have no sympathy for them of course, and i hope they lose all three, but if true that's a ridiculous schedule.

It's not though as the away match against Salisbury is on Friday. They lost against Salisbury at home in Sept 2-1, when the first goal was scored in the 89th minute. On Saturday they have no match. They do have 4 matches against relegation battlers & one on the 10th April against R&D who are currently 4th. I agree, let's hope they lose all remaining 5 of them.

Unless memory is playing tricks, wasn't a triple-header (Friday, Saturday and Monday) the standard programme of fixtures over the Easter weekend - at least, in the 50s and early 60s?  They were often local derbies as well - G&N, Bexleyheath, etc.  If you got six points from the three matches (only two points for a win then) you'd had a great weekend.

Quite right. That used to be a typical Easter programme back in the 50s/60s. No subs, heavy ball, proper boots, no metacarsal injuries, local derbies, big crowds. Whatever era it is or was, there is/was still 6 points up for grabs.

SHOCK HORROR
The Beeb must have failed to update their site. No mention of a Saturday game on the Ebbsfleet fixtures page.  They play Friday (today), Monday; then the 10th, 17th and 24th.
