I think the Ryman are plotting to continue this season through the summer. Some of these postponements are dubious to say the least. If all this moisture is dangerous, there are other perils to consider! Some goal posts are excessively hard (a mate of mine stubbed his toe quite badly on one). All the white lines round the pitch encourage drug abuse! Nice sunny weather could lead to the players being dazzled and suffering optic nerve damage, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you people about the dangers of ultraviolet light and sunburn. Frightening stuff! I can't bear to watch football in the sunshine in case the players develop tumours.

I was never happy at school. This one time the headmaster called me into his office. I was terrified. My friend jimmy went to his office and he could'nt sit down for a week, so I'm thinking please, please don't let him find me sexually attractive.

Don't forget the adverts... They put the players off their game.

BBC says sunny intervals tomorrow and dry for tonight. Unless they've got it completely wrong or the pitch is already ruined from the rauin earlier this week then the game should be good to go ahead.

Looking forward to this one! COYD!

Hope you enjoy your short visit.  We played at Barrow 3 times in the 80s during our yo-yo relationship with the Alliance Premier / Conference.  It was always a great day out especially the train journey around the bay from Preston to Barrow.  Hopefully, it won't be too long before we meet again in a league fixture.

Had a brief look on the Sutton & Kingstonian forums after their game Saturday and they are not talking about catching us, more of them meeting again in the play-off final.
SO LET'S NOT DISAPPOINT THEM.
Hopefully the lads will be refreshed and come out all guns blazing. A win today will be a massive step towards winning the title.
I bumped into Dave Phillips at the weekend and although everyone is not fit just yet it is getting better and hopefully won't be long before everyone is ok.

I think the attendance will be around 1300, today i would start with: -

                         YOUNG
BURGESS    BEALES    FLANAGAN    GROSS
                 DAFTER   BRADBROOK
HAYES              NOBLE                  HARRIS
                       HOWARTH

Subs:-
TAIT
ROOK
WHITE
SHINN
COYLE

Must admit i do prefer Harris up front as his pace and movement there has caused problems against everybody, so the only variation i might make would be a flat four across midfield with Lee out wide, however believe Lee is better central so would look at possibly switching it around as the game progresses. Would not put Bradders wide, for me at the moment central midfield for him.

I  believe Burns is close to fitness and Johnson has started light training, so more good news.
The strength of the squad is their for all to see and with this group of players (plus several others not even listed above) i don't believe the amount of games will be too much of a problem. I am confident we will have wrapped up the title long before the end of the season anyway.

I hope the players come out in confident mood (there should be absolutely no reason why not after the season so far) and get at Canvey right from the start. If we do i am confident of a victory.

WE ARE GETTING CLOSE..........................

Agree wholeheartedly WW although I wouldn't be surprised if TB starts with Elliot out wide and Shinn in the middle

That’s a very controversial team selection there WW.  The way we finished against Hastings I would be inclined to stick with a winning formula without over complicating things. Besides you should not leave your best forward out wide with so much at stake.

I guess TB will line up

                       YOUNG

BURGESS    BEALES    FLANAGAN    GROSS

HAYES     DAFTER    SHINN        BRADBROOK

             HOWARTH   HARRIS

Whoever plays we need to encourage the them all to the vital 3 points and wrap up this championship ASAP. Can’t wait for this one.
