Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

Last week we lost 2-1, but this week with chairman Dave back they hit the jackpot with a great 3-0 win so we now have 5 point from 12.

It was a woeful night losing 3 nil to last seasons champions the Brewers Arms, after last week great win. we came up against a good batting side, we did well on the bowling front to restrict them, but it wasn't our night as our experience batsmen were removed before being able to settle in. But a good night was had by all.

We had a good 2-1 win tonight at the Lads of the Village. After loosing the first game we bowled out there main batsmen and with there wayward batting won the second game. Things didn't look to going to well in the third game when Chairman Dave was bowed first ball, Mick had a resounding knock of 31 to put us in the driving seat with a total of 51 runs the team did well on the bowling and we finnished winning by 17 runs, gaining two more valuable points.

Slight correction:
We're at HOME v the Rose in the League next Wednesday 30th June, ko 8.30pm. Before this, we were drawn at HOME for this Sunday Knock - Out 6's, ko 12.30pm, v the Rose as well.
We'll all watch England v Germany upstairs, afterwards.
Come on England!

Well we has lost both matches against  the Rose.  Sunday they got a right bashing with the rose scoring 85 runs
in the second game, tonight we done much better scoring 47 runs in the first innings and 27 in the second ,but on the night our bowling let us down a bit, but a good night was had by all and that's what its all about enjoyment. Our next two matches are away so we might have better results  you never know.

Famous last words last week , we played the welsh last night and lost 3  nil, But we can only blame ourselves.
the first game our hosts were all out for 14, our batting didn't go to plan with the very dry and hard pitch the ball bounced anywhere other than through the end posts , we were all out for 8. not a promising start.
The second game we started quite well, bowling going well until there fifth  batsman, then we couldn't get the bowling on target and his batting was good they finished with a total of 53. In reply we had Kath and Dave bowled out first ball [ a bit of unluck for them] Tony put up a good stand hitting 23 before a bad bounce put him out. Scott out for a duck along with Ken and myself only managed 2, two down one to play.
In the final game we didn't fare much better, I think I topped scored with 7 before putting it out, we could blame the pitch, poor bounce, but in the end our batting as a team was not as good as the welsh. But as I say every week we all enjoyed the night, a game, couple of beers and a good laugh, what more can you ask for, other than to WIN.

Wilkie 'forgot' to mention that he had a Bowling Hatrick over the evening... Well done!!
I'm sure DFC won't finish bottom, provided Wilkie & co continue their good progress this season.

Well here we go again, we played The Lads of the Village A team last night, The teams  batting and bowling was quite good and we won the first game.  We were put into bat in the second game, Kath got 11runs Scott out for a duck and Dave hitting 9 before the ball bouncing out, he hit the ball down the center of the pitch, it hit a rut and done a 90% turn and went out of play, thats what you call bad luck, the rest of us could only put on another 6 runs between us making a total of 26. in return we done well with our bowling and five were out before the winning run was bowled, [at one point it was 3 out for 5 runs]. one game all.  The final game I think we all, as a team would like to forget, I don't think anybody was bowled, all knockouts, it was all over after a very promising start but we got another point to add to our tally. Next week we are home at PP to the Royal Oak this will be a hard match, they beat us  there place.  Bye the way I got 1 wicket and 1 run in the second game.

Our run of losing continued tonight but we at least won the final game for one point. In the first game we had a total of 24 run to beat, but we only managed 16 all out, all six of us knocking out of bounds.Only Tony looked like he might give us the win.Tony and myself were bowled in the second game the rest knockouts. Phil's bowling was good getting two out but alas two ducks in batting (our captain) Mick got 7 Tony 6 and Dave 4 all out for 18. On to the third game which as I have said we won The Royal Oak were all out for 10, Kath was our first batsman sorry women and she done the job to get the 11 runs required and our 1 point.
I am away for the next two weeks, but will update you on our progress on my return.    Cheer's
