As i changed ends at HT there were 4-5 Hendon guys chatting and the topic was "we won't be bothered by a bit of rough stuff"we will deal with it and get the points.

They were nowhere to be seen at the end of the game after Danny Harris had sent them home POINTLESS!!!

Hendon played some nice stuff but in the end lacked composure which cost them big time.

I thought that we were poor in the 1st half but considering the amount of games our lads have played in the last 12 days and also key players like Bradders,Burnsy and Shinn missing ,I have to congratulate the whole squad on the way they have played 6 games in 12 days, winning 4 and drawing 2 against good oppo, well done TB and the Lads!!!

The way I saw it, as soon as the penalty incident happened, and various people started kicking off, both sides started getting much much more physical. A few ropey challenges and some niggly stuff from both sides that the referee decided (for better or worse) not to deal with and that then set the marker for the rest of the game.

Given the way your lot lifted their game in the second half, it's no surprise that we committed more fouls - both sides were going in as hard as each other, but we had much less of the ball, so obviously were going after it more often and it's only natural that we then end up committing more of the fouls. It was always bound to flare up at some point - only surprise for me was it took that long.

Right result, no doubt, but a horrible game to watch what with nothing happening in the first 40 or so and the rest just being two sides niggling at each other.

As I said to a few people last night, good luck with next season, I'm sure you'll do well at the next level.

I don't know if this is correct, but I was told that the dugout dispute was that Hendon's manager had accused TB of shouting something to the effect of "break his leg" and TB was understandably upset at such a ridiculous accusation. What I do know is that whatever actually happened was in many ways responsible for our winning the game. i.e. For the first time since winning the title at Kingstonian, Darts didn't really seem "up for it" and appeared to be running down the clock and waiting for Saturday. The ridiculous penalty decision, Hendon's unecessarily "niggly" approach to the game and their players desperate attempts to get Andy Young sent off followed by the dugout fracas, suddenly changed the game from an irrelevant end of season workout into a must win game.

It certainly fired up our supporters and I have never seen Tony Burman so animated as he screamed orders from the touchline. Consequently, Darts upped their game just a couple of notches and it was enough to bring home another 3 points.

I thought Danny Dafter was immense and narrowly pipped Danny Harris to get my vote for MOTM. Apart from hs excellent all round performance, I was also really impressed with the way Daffy kept his cool when provoked by the idiot who got himself sent off. Daffy has been outstanding for the last third of the season and is now back to the level that made me pick him as player of the season last year.

I can't help thinking that if Hendon had just quietly gone about their business they would have won this game against what appeared to be a lacklustre Darts, but their attempts to mix it up a bit just fired us up and resulted in their own downfall. At least it all ended amicably when the two managers seemed to "make up" at the end of the game.

Oh well, 90 points and 99 goals. Bognor here we come.

A well deserved win and total commitment from the players in the second half with Daffy just getting my vote for M.O.M. from Danny Harris.

Thankfully a far more lively second half where we finally seemed to get to grips with the very hard bumpy pitch and also played some Hollywood balls to good affect as we looked for the openings.

Well done to all the players and management

I was very pleased with the final result especially after at one stage thought we were not even going to gain a point thinking it was just one of those games !
I voted for Danny Dafter as my MOM not only because his performance I thought just shaded our other best player on the night Danny Harris but for showing some maturity and responsibility to the team when provoked quite aggressively on more than one occasion last night when he could have taken different action at this stage of the season.
He showed to his manager and all present that he is clearly playing for the team these days and wants to play in every game until the end of this season, great attitude and will hopefully stand him a good position for next season !

Onwards to Bognor then chaps for the last game and more celebrations, lets enjoy !

Up the Darts !!

The way Danny Harris has played lately I consider Lee Burns lucky to have got Player of the season. And as for the resurgence of Dan Dafter, I love the guy, always have done since he came to Dartford, it's his infernal booking a game that annoys me.

Don't know if I missed it anywhere, but am I right in thinking that Maidstones win last night relegated Ashford Midd and Margate?

Margate yes, but if Ashford win and Carshalton lose tomorrow, then Carshalton are relegated.

With one game to go we are now 18 points ahead of Sutton who according to the Margate manager are the best team in the league,
not suprised Margate have been relegated with a manager who is clearly such a bad judge of football.
