Never doubted us! (well, maybe a bit). Sounds like Hendon were a nasty bit of work, so even nicer to win. Thanks for the updates Gary, now onto that place on the south coast (can't remember the name). :-D

I was never happy at school. This one time the headmaster called me into his office. I was terrified. My friend jimmy went to his office and he could'nt sit down for a week, so I'm thinking please, please don't let him find me sexually attractive.

How ironic as someone esle noted tonight already ... we entered this league with a lost against Hendon and a man sent off (Guest) and we leave it with a win against Hendon and they have had a man sent off .. we leave the league stronger better and back where we belong ...well done boys tonight you all must be shattered ....Bogna here we come ...one more game  :-)

Great result tonight, against by all accounts a very physical Hendon team.

Hopefullly we picked up no injuries tonight as it would be a shame for any of the players to miss out on Saturdays festivities.

Roll on Bognor, its going be great. xbop

The game started in a way that had us all believing it was gonna be a boring 0-0 draw, however it all changed on a few incidents where Hendon became a bit niggly and unsporting. This seemed to stem from their bench and IMO was the turning point in the game. It spurred us on to up our performance a little and in all reality that was all that was needed to beat Hendon. Not a classic but i cannot praise the lads enough for continuing to put in performances and get results after securing the league title. Well done lads fantastic achievement.

For me Danny Dafter MOTM, another good performance from him and also like to mention the professional way in which he didn't react to the Hendon player headbutting him late in the game. Danny just stood their arms by his side and as far as i could tell just laughed at the guy. Well done Danny.

Really pleased to beat Hendon because it is always nice to beat teams who lose their discipline, maybe their management will learn from this??

It was well worth the mad dash down the motorway this afternoon from Leeds  xbop xbop

Hope the lads can put in one more good effort and get another win on Saturday, i believe they will.

I thought this would be one of those humdrum end of season games but it turned into a remarkably tetchy affair.

Andy Young was seriously displeased about the penalty and although the ref did not seem to be the best he may have done us a favour by not showing a second yellow card to him for kicking the ball away afterwards in what was evidently heartfelt fury at the decision.

The young Hendon keeper made a superb save in the first half and a couple of fair ones in the second and his reward seemed to be a verbal battering from some of his own defenders. Ever chivalrous, the Darts fans stepped in to argue his corner with some of his more ungrateful colleagues. He had also been the victim in the first half of a quite ridiculous decision to award a corner to us.

The Hendon bench were very excitable in the first half and we heard rumours of what was said in an exchange with TB. At the end the Hendon manager and TB seemed to make up.

Understandably there were not as many Darts fans there as usual for an away game and that added to the overall strangeness.

Stood as I was between the two dug outs (I was the rubbish bloke doing the announcements) the bust up between the two managers was quite funny. I didn't catch what started it, as I'd gone to announce our goal, but after the referee had spoken to them it all blew over and they shook hands at the start of the second half - and again at the end of the game.

Speaking to our supporters that were behind the goal, the penalty was dodgy at best, and probably the wrong decision. General feeling was that our player was already going to ground before any contact was made by Young.

Can't defend our player who got sent off, and I believe that cost us the game as we lost our concentration and allowed Harris to score his second. That said, you were by far the more likely to score a winner than we were after you'd equalised.

Was really good to chat with some of your players, coaching staff and supporters before, during and after the game. Hope you have a great weekend in Bognor - the weather is looking fantastic - and I'm confident you'll make a very good impression on the Blue Square next season.
