Kent Football League Division One: Herne Bay v Dartford Sat 8 May 2010

Apart from all the injuries that I mentioned in a previous thread, there is now a stomach bug going thru the Academy players.
This is the main reason (apart from the hamstring) that Jack Pallen was on the bench the other night. Connor Heffernan had the
same bug & did not make it on Thursday. Looks like Burman & Palfrey won't make it today & Dent is too ill to get out of bed.

So who does that leave? Well, we have a goal keeper dilemma - so many to choose from. Maybe Ibrahim can play in defence & Molloy in attack, leaving Griggs in goal.  Bassri, Palmer, Benbow, Westerman possibly Mann, but we're still short.

Henno will have his work cut out if we are to win the next 2 games to claim the runners up spot in the league. It's such a shame.
Let's hope Chatham can do the business today in the Floodlight.

Saturday 8th May
First Division
Champions Herne Bay finished with a 2-1 win at home to Dartford.

2-1 with a make-shift team is great work even though we lost..... What's even better......

Floodlight Trophy
Dartford are in the final as VCD could only manage a 1-1 draw away to Chatham

Yeehah!

Floodlight Trophy Final
The final will be played on Monday 17th May at Herne Bay FC.
Dartford v Herne Bay/Ramsgate

Good Luck to Henno, Steve and the lads tonight in what has been a fantastic season for them all reaching 3 cup finals with 2 of them already won heres to a possible hattrick of silverware. With all the injuries and illness in the team it may be a tall order but im sure Henno & Steve can bring out the best in them all.
