A certain Jamie Coyle had a good game at centre back tonight. He didnt go up with the other lads to collect his winners medal, he just stood back and let the other lads take the plaudits. Well Done again lads.

so 3 cup wins for the u21s the lads have done great and continued to play some really good football that hernno and steve preach  !!!!!!!

herne bays were a solid physical side , looked like they had a few 1st teamers in [ tbc] but our lads battled well and despite being a goal down at half time came out guns blazing and got 2 quick goals , had several chances to seal it but then stood up to the herne bay late onslaught and ran out deserved winners

great touch by coyley to take a low profile at the cup presentation and IF it is henno and stves swansong then i hope they stay together and get a kent senior or RL1 side to manage as they have proved they have the talent

a good turn out by the fans and a great result for the darts

Congratulations to Henno Steve and the players for yet another cup success.

Some nasty tackles early on from Herne Bay's older players (? first teamers) going straight through from behind on our youngsters, but we had Coylie at the back to steady them and going in one down at half time against the run of play suggested that a Henno team talk was coming.

Whatever was said it worked and two goals early into the second half saw us ahead and for twenty five minutes or more we dominated play with all the players running their legs off and as was to be expected we then tired and had to battle out the final period, breaking with counter attacks as H.B. pushed forward.

An emotional Henno received the cup and brought it over to a group of us Darts fans by the dugout, shaking each of our hands and thanking us for attending, with a threat that he would be joining us behind the goal for next seasons BS South games. ( And with a rye smile he said no he won't be going to Chatham)

Henno and Steve too good a mangement team to retire from the game completely.
