To be honest last nights fine achievement will stand for nothing if the club as a whole does not show their full support. At Nene Park we had one Director (Steve Irving) out of ten and none of the Management team.Where as Bromley had the full allocation  of 12 guests. Obviously i do not know Tony Burmans situation yesterday but for pete's sake his boy was playing in the biggest match of his career so far and scoring, would it have been to much to support him and the rest of the academy. I appreciate that it was a long trip to Northamptonshire but every single one of the boys should be  proud of their performance against a very strong Bromley side. The only question i ask is this:Are the club aware of the talent we have and if not why not? xshake xshake

totally agree with the last post - it begs the question WHY bother with all the effort and cost in developing a fine bunch of U18s and then nothing happens for them as they are playing in a crap league and never get a look in at 1st team level cause its deemed that either the gap is too wide or they are too young !!!!!!!!!1

the old addage of " IF you are good enough then you are old enough " applies , just think of ALL of the players of that age who played for their country

justifiably the 1st team is the jewel BUT a conveyer belt of home grown youngsters is a better bet than having to sort out the high number of mersonaries that TB will no doubt be faced with now we are in the BSS

IF a solution isnt found then all the great work put in by coyley, cops, henno and steve will go to waste

I dont know what the sanswer is but I know waht the benefits would be

I believe that the club did make enquiries about the reserves being allowed to play in the Kent League Premier Division next season, but the blazers said NO, well that's is a surprise. xshake

Fully agree with both JOHNDFC and Dukes comments, it will be a major waste of time and talent for both sets of management and players if we just let them disappear and do nothing about trying to improve on the current situation. There is some good quality players in both sides, lets keep them. I was surprised at the lack of club officials at the U21s cup final Vs Herne Bay, there was 2 Steve Irving and Dave Boswell. Surely as a club we should be having more officials going to these games, theres more to the club than just the 1st team.

Add to that the fact that Steve Irving, Dave Boswell and Dave Skinner are all seen running around behind the scenes on home match days making sure everything runs smoothly, Steve misses nearly all of the first half of EVERY home match - what do the rest of the Board of Directors do (apart from TB of course with the team).  Sad that there is so little representation at the Final of a national competition

Totally agree with all comments, and that is why Henno and Steve have probably called it a day.  Banging there heads  up against a brick wall. xshake xshake

I think some of the comments aimed at the board/directors for not attending this game are harsh.
I would guess that most of these guys have to work like the rest of us and that is probably why they couldn't make it, i'm also sure all the work they do for the club is for free.

How many of the people criticising were in the same position and couldn't attend??

Until we know the reasons is it right to criticise  xshake xshake

Surely there is no excuse though for not attending the U21's Cup Finals when they are evening kick offs. I know the board don't get paid infact it's the opposite (for most of them) because it actually costs them due to putting their own money into keeping the club afloat but then i guess thats all part of being a Director / Chairman of the club.

It just seems to come across as there being no real interest in any of the other teams except the 1st team which is a real shame because the U21's, Academy team as with all the others should get lots of support as well.

Well worth the watch - especialy for a junior football non-follower like me.
Nice cinematography (missed Sony's close-ups and action replays, though).
Nice ground too, tho' it did seem strange to see it so empty.
And great goals by the Darts as well - all well-worked and well-taken.
Some pretty smart keeping by the Darts GK, too. Someone to keep an eye on for the future?
