Whyteleafe ban vuvuzelas
« on: June 17, 2010, 04:27:20 PM »

10:03 17 Jun 10

DIVISION One South club Whyteleafe have become the first in the country to ban vuvuzelas.

Whyteleafe secretary Chris Layton has announced that the annoying horn has been banned from the ground and clubhouse.

Anyone bringing a vuvuzela to the clubhouse during the World Cup will be asked to leave it outside before being admitted to the clubhouse to watch the matches on the big screen, and when the season starts, will not be permitted to take them into the ground.

Whyteleafe believe this will be a very popular move with fans who have widely condemned the vuvuzela which has spoilt the atmosphere at most of the World Cup matches and they wish to ensure that fans can enjoy and support football in the traditional way at Church Road.

Killjoys! Do they get gates  big enough for anyone to  notice the difference anyway?

Actually Silver, the guy that bought the vuvuzela will stand out a mile.
I hope we will have them at PP, it will cause quite a buzz.

Actually, we've got one, too - or at least my lad has. He bought it at our local McColls paper shop, which is selling loads of other world cup gear, only he can't manage to play if properly, so guess who's taken it over now? (Didn't do much good tonight, though xshake). Dare I take it to PP when the new season starts? I guess it won't go down too well in the stands, where we normally sit....

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

I think the constant noise they make is great provided it doesn't replace chants, I am happy for them to become a fixture at pp.

That would be even worse because if Duke got hold of them he'd have his own orchestra  xfinger.

just why do we deserve this every 4 years , most of us buy england shirts [ Ive got 2 , including 1 with the great bobby moore on holding the  world cup from that great design outfit Asda  !!] and yey ALL we get his disappointment as the so called creme de la creme just dont produce

I guess we will somehow win the next difficult match [slovenia] but  current performances {?} plus the body language doesnt give me the cofidence that we will suddenly become world beaters

I dont give a flying fig [ or even a f...] about our premier league as it would be crap without the foriegners in as it has been obvious for years that the british players are NOT good enough and as a country we have been sold out for eight [ probably billion] pieces of silver as hardly any young british stars are coming through

I believe we have ONLY 1 world class player [ ashley cole ] the rest are a bunch of pretenders and are a million miles away from being labelled GREAT

I want us to win the world cup and I [ along with millions of others] will be watching next wednesday with our prayer mats out !!!!!!
finally thank god for NON LEAGUE FOOTBALL , the ONLY real football left
