Things maybe looking up for the club, let's hope it happens for them.

This is on the Croydon website as "latest news":

"All the necessary paperwork has been processed today and the Club can now look forward to the rest of the season. Mazhar Majeed has confirmed his commitment to the Rams by providing the bond needed to secure the future of the club, and we all thank him for giving us the opportunity to continue for the rest of the season and for his professionalism and loyalty in securing the Club's future.  We also thank the FA and the Ryman League for their patience and undestanding over the last couple of weeks.

The Club will operate on a tight budget, and supporters are asked to contribute ideas regarding fundraising activities.  Those that have already sent their suggestions through are being looked at and they will be contacted shortly.

On the playing front obviously players have departed and the team will be very different but once signings have been confirmed they will be annouced here and our game will of course go on on Friday night.

Former Rams' management team Dave Garland and Bob Langford have joined us as joint managers and they are currently assembling the squad for the Aveley match,  We look forward to seeing as many people at the game as possible.  C'mon you Rams!"

Majeed => bond needed to secure the future of the club? = promise of cash? But what about all his assets being frozen pending the outcome of the money-laundering case against him (let alone the [alleged] point-fixing)???

Croydon lost 3-0 tonight against Aveley - all 3 goals scored in the last 9 mins.

Not surprising with half the team that started the season gone

Sadly the Ryman League forum is now reporting the death on Saturday of the Croydon Chairman.

Looks like he took his own life. He was being investigated by the Tax Man as part of the exploits of the Owner. Maybe he knew more than people thought.....................

Seems it never rains but it pours. Despite all the best efforts being put in, I can't really see the club surviving.

I see Croydon drew 2-2 at home against Wealdstone last night.  The turning of the corner...?
