Comedy Central Ad for Grouchy Young Men featuring DFC (MERGED)
« on: September 01, 2010, 05:20:02 PM »

The other day, one of the barmaids @ the Courthouse said she saw me on an advert on Comedy Central. I was rather sceptical, but when another acquaintence of mine said the same thing, thought I'd better lend a bit of my time to said channel and sure enough there it was. Not sure when this programme goes to air, but it seems the film crew came to Princes Park at some point to grab some crowd / ambient footage for their show, which seems to be B list celebs bemoaning the high wages of the modern day footballer and other such valid negatives. There is only a short snippet of the crowd and outside the ground (where I grace the stage) but it's the only footage at all. It's rather ironic that they would come to a Ryman league game to showcase overpaid tarts, but they did! I'm pretty sure it's the Tooting game from last year where we went 2-0 down pretty quick but managed to nick all three points.

Bizarre!

Edit: There is a short version without any external footage, before someone sees it and calls me a phallus.

when you text me this you got me watching Comedy Central just to see this ad. I had to sit through King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond to finally see this short ad which did not feature you, Adam or Dean.

Thanks. That is now an hour of my life lost and a quarter of my brain frazzled by American "comedy". Dribble.

Has anyone seen the ad for this?
They're complaining about football and all the football cut away scenes are at PP. Lots of regular board members can be seen in close ups of crowd shots as well.   8-)

The episode which includes footage from PP was shown on Tuesday. It's currently on Sky anytime if anyone wants a view.

Pretty sure it was the T & M match from last season, think we were 0-2 down and came back to win 3-2. There's a great shot of DAMikey walking towards the camera (presumably at half time) looking extremely grumpy!!!

Didn't really watch the programme, just FF through to the shots of the Darts.

Hmmmm. I checked with a couple of others and it's on theirs. It may only have gone on yesterday. Check again, if it's not on there phone Sky and demand a full refund and free satelite tv for ten years (it might work!!).

If not, I'm pretty sure comedy central will show this episode again as they only have about four programmes: Two and a half men, King of queens, Everybody loves raymond...........   and another episode of Two and a half men.  xshake xshake

Actually, if you try the Planner then A-Z search and check the info (i) it may well show up on there.

Thank you for e-mailing Sky customer support, your message is important to us!!!   xwhis

Maybe you have the Budget Package - Sky Sometimes????  xshrug

You can just record the one at half two in the morning, it's not worth staying up for!
