Training and match pitches're unplayable. Another week - end off! With a 2 weeks Xmas break looming, the next game may be in JANUARY?

SELKENT League 'B' East, Result Sunday,09/01/11

Russellers F.C  2  -  DFC  0 (ht: 2-0)

First game since 21st November, due to the big freeze, the boys just couldn't get their rhythm back and lost to two 1st half goals. They had most of the possessions in the 2nd half but couldn't convert the few chances presented to them. Niggly injuries also disrupted the game throughout.

SELKENT League 'B' East - Sunday, 16/01/11

DFC 1   -  Junior Reds Valiants F.C  1   (ht: 1-0) 

With illnesses & injuries, the only 11 boys available earned a well - deserved point, in windy conditions. Connor scored and being drawn level, the young Darts rode their luck, with two shots against their bar, including a brilliant Penalty save by Keeper Doug (deputising for the injured Kane).
Well done you 11 Darts!

SELKENT Shield (Blue Group) Result - Sunday, 23/01/11

DFC  0   -  Phoenix Sports 4 (ht: 0-1)

Facing superior opposition from League 'A', these Junior Darts accounted well for themselves. On a luckier day, Darts' shots wouldn't have shaved the Bar or hit the post. However, late lapses flattered their well - organised opponents, with the final score.

The League Game Away to Phoenix Lions was Postponed (with League approval) yesterday, due to too many illnesses. Home at the L.T.Academy, v Footscray Lions, next Sunday. k.o: 10.30am.

SELKENT League 'B' East - Result - Sunday, 06/02/11

DFC  4   -  Footscray Lions F.C  1 (ht: 2-0)

These Juniors returned to action with a comfortable win and reversed the Away result. 1st half goals were by Matt & an 'og', followed by Billy & Connor.C strikes in the 2nd half, with a Lions' consolation late on.

DFC 0   -  All Stars United F.C  7  (ht: 0-3)

After a week's break and being a 'Shield' game, some of the injured were available again and re-introduced to action against higher League opposition. The lads missed a few chances in between making some errors too. They're all learning...
Hopefully, they'll improve to maintain their position, near the Top of their League. Up You Darts!

SELKENT League 'B' East - Result - Sunday, 27/02/11

DFC  3   -  St. More Juniors  5   (ht: 0-2)

Starting without injured keeper Kane again, these Junior Darts battled well but enforced errors meant it was uphill. After a quiet 1st Half, goals from Billy and x2 Connor.S in the last 20 minutes showed what could have been, after winning 6-4 Away to these Runners - up, earlier in the season. COYD!

SELKENT League 'B' East - 2010/11 - Final Table

The game Away to Phoenix Lions on 31/01/11 was considered 'Walk - Over' & points credited to the Lions, by the League. (Overnight illnesses had meant that the Junior Darts would otherwise only have had 8/9 fit players).
Despite this, the lads finished their season in a creditable 4th place. On to 'Shield' games & mini Tournaments.
Well done you young Darts! From the parents and boys, thanks to their coaches Vince and Tony for their time and effort.
