I'm sorry Dorset Dart but as far as I can recollect we drew at home with St Alban's!!!. Perhaps it was the 'clean' Kentish air that fuddled your brain cells??

My first game of the season, nice to see a win.  :-)

Even nicer that you're well enough to attend a game.  :-)

Does anyone know what the winning 50/50 number was and was it claimed? (obviously I don't actually care - it's just that this regularly used post seems to have gone out of fashion recently and I ,for one, have missed it)

[Quite right about St Albans (possibly regarding the brain cells as well!). Meant the home game with Hampton, although thankfully that was followed up 3 days later with witnessing the away win at Dorchester - bit like investing in the stock market, i.e. go for it when the market dips and the outlook looks bleak (felt very bleak after the 4-0 reversal against Hampton, but all's well that ends well). ]

Surely the hardcore commited fans would deliberately buy losing tickets to help the club. Winning prizes and taking money out of the club is for the less committed part-timers.

Skip is the exception that proves the rule.

Before this thread closes, I'd like to mention the two people I met in the pub during the Wales game. One was a Burnley fan and the other a Leeds fan, both live reasonably locally, but are season ticket holders who travel north for most home matches. Since it was 'non-league day' they decided to come to PP on the recommendation of someone the girl (the United fan) works with. The pair couldn't speak highly enough of their day and I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that they'll be back and maybe before this season's out. Gave me a warm feeling and made me very proud to be a local Dartford fan. So well done to everybody at DFC as it gave these floating fans a fabulous day.
