I agree with Gooner that the Wales game is pointless

Wales itself is pointless.

The FA showed a total disregard to grass roots football by having this fixture a 3pm kick off.

But saying that, its a sad day indeed that clubs feel the need to change a traditional 3pm saturday kick off when England play the minnows from wales. What saddens me even more is the nigh on total lack of consultation with the people most effected.....the fans.
Even though Lewes are not effected by the change to the same extent as Dartford, for a so called 'fan owned club' there isn't even a thread about it on their forum, not much consultation with the owners there then.

For me its another nail in the coffin of our traditional 3pm saturday kick offs, what next, change our tuesday night kick offs as they clash with Champions league matches.

I have seen the clubs statement on the official site, but failed to see any plans to compensate those season ticket holders who cannot now make the game due to the change in kick off time.

Well, I for one am pleased with the amended time. I shall watch Dartford and hope they win, then I shall watch England and hope they win too. I'd imagine there'll be a few accompanying beers, just to prove Nobby2 right of course. Then I shall go to Tenerife, where they embrace the non-committed softcore types xcool

The Friday and Tuesday games are being used for England's home qualifiers, Saturdays game is in cardiff. The club are in a no win situation by moving our kick off to 1pm. I would guess that most people would be happy that they now have the opportunity to watch both games but its unfortunate for those that now can't make the 1pm kick off. I can't see any compensation being offered to season ticket holders as midweek fixtures are often rearranged at short notice meaning that some fans are unable to attend.

So, it's Darts v Lewes at 1.00pm. LIVE TV: Wales v England at 3.00pm and Oxford v Cambridge (Boat Race) at 5.00pm.
That'll be another exhilarating day at PP (For those who can make any of the above events, at our spiritual Home and Bar...)

Usually depends on the tide - perhaps it's a late-in-the-day one this year and the alternative would have been 5am - or later in the year.

Usdartsfn: with regard to your comment about the Varsity Boat Race starting at 5pm - had you thought about the high tide times?!!
