if burnsy scores at basingstoke i will run onto the field of play dressed only in a 'mankini' and 'borat wig'!! whereupon i will no doubt evade the chasing stewards with ease only to be rugby tackled and heavily brought down in the centre circle by their player/manager !!!!
nb; yes i know they don't have one but 'frankie gray' doesn't have the same ring to it!!

Basingstoke Town to help SONY
Tuesday, 08 March 2011 20:04 Sony approaches Basingstoke Town FC to help with camera system test.

This Saturday afternoon, we welcome project manager Clive Gillard and his technical crew to the Camrose, along with Sony staff.

“At Sony’s Broadcast and Professional Research Labs, based in Jays Close Basingstoke, we have been developing a camera system specifically suited to filming at football clubs.

We are now at the stage where we need to use a real football club environment to refine our prototype to ensure the final version meets all our expectations.

Basingstoke Town FC was the natural choice for us, being just a mile from our offices and offering more than acceptable facilities.

We would like to thank the club for agreeing to let us use the club for these experiments and also for their offer to allow us back on other occasions.

The development team are all really looking forward to the match and naturally hope Basingstoke come away with a good result!”

We wish them well with their project, and hope they all have a great afternoon with us at the Camrose.

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

At last a "home" game for me to watch the Darts.

Weather forcast is OK at the moment.

Anyone driving should check traffic information re: 50 mph speed restriction on M25 between Leatherhead and Guildford.  There were long delays there on Wednesday.

If you leave M3 at junction 6, get in left lane marked A30, left at first rounabout after leaving motorway (A30 South Ring Road) , straight across next (Hackwood Road)roundabout and left at next (Winchester Road) roundabout following signs for A30 Salisbury

You will pass B&Q on your left and then the ground on your right (oppositeToys R Us).  Take the 5th exit at the next roundabout by Pizza Express - and you've arrived.  Massive car park.

See you there.  COYD

Should have picked up three points today dominated for long periods and if it wasen,t for two bad defensive mistakes i thought we would have won.Having said all that it was a great game to watch one the best games i have watched all season, some of the football we played was at times brilliant capped by one of the shots of the season by Charlie if that had gone in it would have been goal of the season.Still a point away from home is always welcome.

Should have won but could have lost . A really strange game where both teams seemed to think lets forget defence today. After going 1 - 0 before the game had really got started we came straight back at them scoring twice before the half hour mark  . If we had held the lead until half time I think we would have won .
Second half we had a couple of great chances to get the winner which should have finished and was nearly made to pay . All in all we gained a point away from home and before Xmas we would have came away with nothing

A thoroughly entertaining game with some great moments of skill and bags of action, albeit riddled with defensive errors from both sides. Great first half and goal from Ryno. Excellent performance from Matt Jones, particularly in the second half. Goodacre, solid and dependable as ever. Danny H, much better when he's up front and works very well with Sherry. The ref seemed very harsh in sending their number 5 off. Danny had clearly fouled the Basingstoke number 4 but it was missed by the ref and Danny seemed so surprised that he squandered a good opportunity to wrap up the game. Presumably the No 5 expressed his disapproval of the decision too vociferously as he didn't seem to have done anything else wrong, but the sending off was too late to influence the result.

You have to be reasonably happy with a draw away from home and we should take even more heart from the fact that as the game progressed, it was the Darts who were driving forward looking for the win and (long before the sending off) and the home side who seemed to be in no hurry and were quite happy to run down the clock.

A few weeks back, 40 points seemed a million miles away.

Great game today. This one could have gone either way. Going one down so early in the game was a shock but we came back well and should have held onto the lead going into half time but unfortunately another error cost us the lead.
Second half i think we played some great football and should have scored again, Bradders firing over from close range and Charlie having a fantastic dipping shot that came off the bar. If that had gone in it would have been the goal of the season. Having said that, Basingstoke went down the other end and hit the bar themselves almost immediately.
Stood alongside the dugouts today and TB must have a sore throat with all the shouting he was doing, funny seeing him hold his head in his hands several times! Well done TB. A bit thin on the bench today as well, only 3 subs !
Good open attacking football all round. Well worth the trip down to Hampshire.
Couldn't get into the ground until 2.10 as the staff that open up the turnstiles were late in turning up ! Wonder if thats a ploy to get you to use the bar facilities ? Good day though.
MOTM, Matt Jones, good all round performance just shaded it from Paul Goodacre.
Up the Darts !
