The perfect opportunity for the team to show that the performance at Staines was a one-off aberration - to put in a storming performance against St Albans would put that to rest.   Having said that St Albans will be no push-overs, after all they got a point at Braintree today!  Also the last time they played at Princes Park, in the FA Trophy, Paul Bastock their keeper played an absolute blinder.  If he repeats that performance we will struggle to score no matter what we throw at him.

COYD make amends for Staines!!!

St Albans running into a nice little bit of form just in time for the two games against us. Couple that with our often less than convincing performances against bottom clubs over recent years. We can still overhaul teams like Bromley if we push hard but that does mean winning our very winnable games and with the right spirit this ought to be one of them.

Okay, so the performance at Staines was pretty blody awful but that is now history.

The last time we had a major "wheels come off" blip we immediately bounced back with an excellent away win at Dorchester.

Let's not forget that the team have performed wonders in the last couple of months and have romped up the table. They are undoubtedly as gutted about the Staines performance as we all are so lets get fully behind them on Tuesday and get back to winning ways.

Come on Darts ... you have been excellent recently so lets get back on track on Tuesday night.

Never have understood why Tony B hasn't given Burchell more match time especially when others clearly could do with a rest.  I guess managers have their favourites and Burch isn't one of TB's  xshrug

Will be missing my first game of the season tomorrow but am sure the lads will bounce back . I hear that Keith Lard will be filling in for me on the commentary with the legend that is Gary Clark . Keep them entertained KL  , I will try and listen in from the airport if I can find a computer in the departure lounge .

Well almost everyone had a bad game on Saturday and personally I think Jones has done pretty well in recent games and I hope he keeps his place. Injuries aside, I wouldn't play Whitey either and I certainly wouldn't EVER play him in a 3 man midfield.

... but hey that's football, we all see it differently.

How about Danny Harris and Charlie Sheringham as our front two? That's a change I'd like to see.

Does that cheat Bastock still play for them? He had an eye injury a while back which I thought was to end his career.

His performance was truly memorable, probably one of the most by any individual at PP ever. But I won't forget his cheating.

bastock is still their no 1, don't know about any cheating (unless he signs for braintree?) but he is definately quite a character between the sticks that's for sure!!
