the only good thing about friday was the number of darts fans who turned up and the sunshine - gave away stupid goals yet again - thought youngie was at fault for the first two goals - he really needs to command his box - good shot stopper but anything in the air and he flaps - i like everyone was totally peed off with the performance - not good enough - lets hope we play better next week in the final - i thought the bromley back four were terrible - 5 & 6 were hopeless but we never put them under any pressure - hopefully can play better tomorrow against dover - should not need much motivation tomorrow ????

inevitably there will be some leaving, some because of work commitments, some because they cannot keep it up or cannot drive to and fro, some TB will let go. Impossible to call because I didn't really think Flanagan or Dafter were going to leave last year....Haworth's another story  8)

IMHO

Jones Bonner Goodacre Champion  Bradbrook Harris Pallen Burns Hayes
 and Noble

3 games left for everybody else to truly prove ( in staying with the super Darts )that they "want it"

Must say I can't argue very much with that list - apart maybe from slight doubts about Champion and whether TB will want to "risk" keeping Pallen.

What about Charlie been outstanding since Christmas, can't see it being a risk keeping Jack.

I think what I meant by "risk" is if Tony decides to keep JP rather than look for a recognised, proven BSBS striker instead.

I would rather have Jack over Main any day,Jack is a young striker with a good future,Main just likes the pound and is finished.

Main was nowhere again today, maybe that wasn't his fault, Dover barely turned up, but even so, Jack is young and looks promising, whereas Main has a proven record but is a bit past his best. Keep Sheri, Pallen and Burns, Main won't return and Rook won't I'm guessing...

The statistics say that Rook and main are both excellent players, however ...

I've only ever seen Rook play really well ONCE ... and that was for Tonbridge against us. In my humble opinion, Rook has never looked sufficiently interested in playing for Dartford and I think his work rate was inadequate and that's putting it mildly.

Mainy on the other hand, always looked to be trying his best but if I'm brutally honest, I've NEVER yet personally seen him play REALLY well. Most of the time you almost forget he's there and today for Dover was no different. Can he return to the sort of form he has shown elsewhere in the past? Who knows, but his pedigree would surely make him expensive and my gut feeling is that I think we can do better than both of them.

Young Jack Pallen is a decent prospect and would be an inexpensive gamble but we will undoubtedly need to add some proven quality to the strike force next season.
