I remember seeing us beat Maidstone United ( When they had money!) at Priestfield & we were the underdogs.

Bring it on !

If there is one thing that really annoys me about the KSC it's the fact that unlike other county cups our only professional club in Kent declines to enter and thus devalues the competition.

Colchester and Southend support the Essex SC as does Brighton in the Sussex cup.

Maybe they feel the competition is beneath them and they are too good for it even though they couldn't handle Dover at home in the FA Cup, which is now even more risible.

Despite my lack of interest because of this, at the end of the day a final is a final so I will be there seeing as we failed to make the semis of the FA Cup at Wembley this season.  xfinger

I hope all Dart fans attend even if it is on a night when premiership or any other games being played its our first final in 15 years we are all moaning players don't turn up but most of us can't be bothered to turn up to watch the match how do you think the players feel if only 260 attend it looks like we are not interested COYD I hope it's not just the hardcore  fans who attend the final

Does anyone know why the final isn't played at the county's only league ground, Priestfield? It's not a great stadium but it would make it bit more of an occasion. Other county's such as Norfolk & Suffolk play their senior cup finals at Carrow Road & Portman Road respectively.

As was said in earlier post, the final is to be played at the home of the first semi-finalist drawn out of the hat. Why the KCFA chose that particular method is another matter though - after all, it's hardly neutral, is it, and there can be no comparison with promotion play-offs.

Why they can't, say, pre-select a number of suitably appointed grounds and then pick the most appropriate neutral ground when the finalists are known, I don't know (cf. how the FA Cup semis USED to be played?). Since Gillingham can't even be bothered to compete for such a "tin-pot" trophy, I don't think Priestfield should be a candidate, though. Besides which, small (in relative terms) attendances would be swallowed up by a (relatively) large League ground.

I will be there for sure, buzzing for a final even if it is 'only' the Kent Senior Cup!

I do not know why the Kent F.A. choose to play the final at the first named team drawn out of the semi-final hat, but if we Darts fans support it in numbers it ought to be a good atmosphere at Hayes Lane, whether Bromley or Cray Wanderers are the opposition.

I guess that Gillingham does not enter because it fears being embarrassed by lower opposition!! We have played well to reach the final and it is an opportunity to collect some silverware to reward our efforts - surely that is worthwhile?

I remember us beating Maidstone at priestfield in this competition, and there being a good atmosphere there. This has in the end been a good season for us, and to cap it off with a bit of silverware would be top.

Should be played at the best possible neutral ground in my opinion. Shame Cray or Bromley will have home advantage.

Then it'd be played at PP every year (assuming we didn't make the final every year!). xnod xnod xnod

The venue for the KSC final will be decided by a coin toss, someone asked Colin Boswell (Kent FA) at the U16's cup final at Faversham today.

If true, so much for the earlier report (rumour??) that it would be played at Bromley as the 1st semi-finalist out of the hat in the draw...

Coin toss between whom, though? Presumably the two finalists? Which is still rather unfair on the team losing the toss.... Oh well....

If this is true it is a complete turnaround from the information given previously by the KCFA as at the Quarter-Final tie it was widely known by DFC officials that the first tie out of the draw for the Semi-Finals would be at home in the Final.  It couldn't be that the KCFA are now thinking that a toss of the coin might mean that the Final gets played at Princes Park and therefore the crowd would be significantly higher than at Hayes Lane, could it?   xwhis  After all the KCFA will have a big interest in the size of the gate receipts.
