One of the first times I saw Dartford play was in 1947 at Bromley in the final of the Kent Senior Cup, I was taken by an uncle and was 9 at the time.
I must admit that I do not remember much about the day except that we won 2-3 after being 2 down.
I often wonder if any of the current supporters were there that day ?
Looking forward to Bank Holiday Monday and I predict that we will win 3-2 as in 1947
UP THE DARTS

Sorry 2287 Private W - I missed that one, but respect to you Sir xbow
I second that,nice one xtip

A day before my yr 13 exams. Brilliant.

Thats perfect for you. You do realise the worst possible thing you should do is revise the day before? You need to relax and think or something else, as it allows your brain to recover the knowledge you have put into it.
No one runs a 10k the day before a marathon, and the brain is just another muscle that needs to recover before a big test. Going to the football is the best thing you could do ;)

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

Can anyone provide details of recent KSC final attendances to see what we have to beat?

04/05/10 Folkestone Invicta 1   Sittingbourne 3    Att 618
16/04/09 Welling United   6   Whitstable Town 1  Att 617
26/07/08 Cray Wanderers   0   Ebbsfleet United 4 Att ?
24/04/07 Bromley   3   Tonbridge Angels 1 Att 926
27/04/06 Bromley    3   Ebbsfleet United 2 Att ?

Shame there is no reference to attendances on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_Senior_Cup

I reckon we'll do well to top 1,000. As the above stats show, the KSC final doesn't draw very big gates, and I reckon it being a Bank Holiday, when people may well have other plans (until now we had been thinking of going to the Sweeps Festival in Rochester, where a - fairly distant - relative is performing), is more likely to reduce than boost numbers, plus I doubt whether Bromley will bring more than a couple of hundred at most.

Speaking to you here from Chatham (left Dartford in 2001), forget the Sweeps Festival - too many Chavs will be there. Get some proper entertainment and support the Darts to win some silverware!!!

I wouldn't choose to go to Rochester for any reason, but when you've got an obsessive compulsive son to keep happy.... :-(  It's a good job he loves football and the Darts in particular (for that I can easily forgive him for being a Chelsea supporter as well!)

Great news having the final at PP. A cup final is a cup final and a chance for some silverware. I am looking forward to it.

Another game I will miss. I suppose there was no other date but a bank holiday Monday will reduce the crowd. Oh well, there goes the end of my season.

Hopefully I haven't seen Ryno play for the Darts for the last time, sign on the line Ryno!

I think the date chosen was the only realistic one. It certainly could not have been later. Even now the players' contracts are being extended, because they were due to end on 3th April.

I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion Martin. Traditionally, all the evidence suggests that games played on holidays get BIGGER crowds. I would have thought there was every chance of getting one of our largest crowds of the season as long as the game is well advertised and everyone knows it's on ... it's just a shame that you won't be amongst them.
