If the Wood have managed to retain the loan players they signed to get themselves out of trouble in the first place, then we'll be up against Queens Park Rangers' reserves this weekend.

The loan system stinks,BW play the system because they are allowed to,I don't know how many players they have used this season but until a limit is put on loan players per season as well as per month then this farce will continue. I don't care who gets relegated but if BW do go down I for one won't shed any tears.

Borehamwood have used 47 players in BSBS matches this season - of those only 19 have made it on to the pitch for ten or more appearances as either starting or as a substitute.  To put this in perspective DFC have used 25 players in BSBS matches and of those 18 have made ten or more appearances - this includes Burch who has made ten sub appearances with no starts.

Given the size of their crowds how do Borehamwood manage to bankroll such a turnaround of players or do they get players in on loan whilst expecting their parent club to continue to pay all their wages?  It would be interesting to know how they manage to run a club on such low gate receipts.

47 players in one season, not bad............. I remember reading something on the Lewis forum before our game with them, and they were saying they used around 61 players up to that point.....

Loan signings do have there place, but I feel there's nothing like having a core contracted squad to give you that team spirit and understanding. Must be difficult for their players not knowing who might play alongside them game to game. Probably if you look at the league table, I bet those in the top half have used the least players throughout the season.

Can't comment on the kind of deals or contacts they may have with the clubs they loan from, but must be hard for the club officials to keep up with.

Do BW own and get income from them mini-pitches etc opposite there ground, if so that could be a good income like our 3G pitch. Also, do the Lady 'Gooners' still play their Home games at BW? If so, I'm sure BW would charge the 'Gooners' a fair bit for that.

Anyway, we wait and see what BW loanees turn up at PP on Sat.

Yes, they do: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13040451.stm
and Chelski Ladies play at Tooting & Mitcham.

We must of only used about 25 players maybe less?  :?

Including the Ryman League Charity Shield match on Tue 20 July 2010 (but not the pre-season friendlies), I count 29 players.

I don't care if they've used 47 or 47,000 players, they can only start with 11 on Saturday and they are going to have to be pretty good to be better than our 11.

At half time on Saturday, there will be a penalty shoot out competition on the main pitch. During the season, on a Saturday match day, Dartford Football Club have been running a community programme involving local schools, junior football teams and local clubs. Each session includes a tour of the stadium, a training session on the community pitch and a penalty shoot out competition, leading the players out, watching the match and meeting the players after the game.

Representatives of each group have been invited back for another training session and to take part in the final of a penalty shoot out competition. The children taking part today are: Dillon Bihal, Thomas Collins, Joe Smith, Sam Clarkson, Max Stephens, Samuel Smith, Daniel Howlett, Kaiya Zeki, Connor Morgan, Liam Mills, Jack Murray, Harrison Shoulder, James Bought-Flower, Jack Vale, Charlie Hammond, Ben Pritchard, Charlie Bishop, Luke Morbey, Roy Friend, Sam Rogerson, Chris Duyilemi, Carter Norman, Zius Boothby, Charlie Peerless, Tope Allison, Matt Pilott, Jake Bishop, Lenny Uden, Tommy Price, Harry Beacroft, James Mallon, Sam Evans, Rhys Madgett, Robbie Burton, Thomas Gilham, Mason Henderson, Chloe Francis and Pelumi Ogunrinola. They were invited back for one of two reasons. They either won the penalty shoot out that took place in their group’s training session or they were chosen to come back as they were recognised as a child who was keen to learn more about the game. The competition (split into two age groups – ten and under, and eleven and above) will start at 12.30 on the Community Pitch and the final three from each group take part in the final on the main pitch to decide the overall winners.

We would like to say a big thank you to the following people: Lee Hergest, Darren Wright and Grant Spelling for helping with coaching, Tony Jaglo and Dave Philips and everyone involved in Dartford Football Club for their support and for making the children feel so welcome each week. Also, many thanks to the following who have sponsored this year’s trophies: the ‘Backseat Boys and Girls’; ‘Pure DFC’ - Gary Clark; Shenley Road Garage – Dave Francis; Princes Park Football Club – Steve Smith; The Fulwich Pub and Mary Skelton.

Now on official website. A basic preview and some geeky stats!

Princes Park will host its twenty sixth competitive match of the season on Saturday when The Darts take on Boreham Wood.

The Wood took the honours in the last meeting between the two sides back in October. An own goal from Tom Bonner and a brace from Mario Noto gave the Hertfordshire side all three points, Lee Noble scored a consolation for Dartford in the last minute.

Dartford will play their fifty third game in all competitions on the weekend as they aim to finish in the top ten, Tony Burman told PURE DFC, “We’ve got to finish inside that top ten that’s our goal at the moment. We’ve got five games left, that’s fifteen points, we’ve gone over fifty the next target is to try and get over 60”.

A victory for The Darts will be their fourth successive win in the league and will stretch their unbeaten run at home to seven. Burman will be hoping that Charlie Sheringham and Jack Pallen continue their good form, Sheringham has scored seven in the last five league and cup matches whilst Pallen has netted in his last two games.

Boreham Wood struggled on their travels in the early part of the season and only recorded their first away win in February, after picking up just two points out of thirty. Since then, they have only been beaten twice away from Meadow Park and secured three wins and four draws. Manager, Ian Allinson has managed to steer The Wood out of the relegation zone but they still remain just ?? points from the drop.

Whilst The Darts were winning against playoff hopefuls Woking on Saturday, Boreham Wood helped Burman’s side out by defeating Havant and Waterlooville by a single goal. These set of results has seen Dartford close the gap on Havant and Waterlooville ahead of their showdown with the Hampshire club on Monday.

Since 2004 this will be the eleventh meeting between Dartford and Boreham Wood. Ian Allinson’s side have been more successful with five wins, three draws and two defeats.

Perhaps some of the First Team should watch the penalty competition at half time!  Our recent record has not been too good.

Come on you DARTS!

Really looking forward to tomorrow - hopefully the sun will be out like last Saturday and dispite all the loan players in for BW we can put in another performance. The team looks settled now and we are playing good football - i hope we can see Jack and Charlie up front again and another battling performance from Lee Burns and Lee Noble.

Bonus tomorrow no kids to run around after  :-)
