5th, Burns had the other guy round the throat and he had totally lost his rag. He was pulled away twice and went straight back in each time. He raised his hand and his eyes were about 6 inches out of their sockets he was that enraged. No question why he got the red. Depsite the fact he raised his hands, if he had stayed on, I am in no doubt the other guy would have had a leg broken wiuthoin the next 10 mins, such was the rage.

Not the ref's fault we lost, he had one of the better games, so lets stop the stupid ref comments, during and after the games, it's getting boring, predictable, and I'm damn sure 500 guys chanting stupid/obscene names at the ref helps us get marginal decisions!

A little surprised by the MOM decision, Pallen wasn't in the game second half, with or without Noble on the pitch. He made the best move of the whole match though, just a tough one for Charlie to finish.

Secondly after watching Rays video coverage i still cant understand what Burnsy was given a straight red card for. I know Tony said in the interview that the ref sent him for running the distance he did and it looked like he was going to headbutt somebody but the fact was he didn't headbutt anyone or throw any punches or even contact with anyone so the ref clearly got it wrong.

If other teams were penalised for such behaviour just think how many players Braintree, Farnborough (and many other clubs) would have had sent off during the season - in some incidents we have seen at PP half the opposition have charged straight at the referee to make their point arms waving and shouting at the official......

Perhaps the 'ladyboy' with the flag was Samantha Purkiss?

...or Jamie Macleod - after all Jamie Lee Curtis is an actress so the name can be used for males and females......

Coney, my comments about the referee was purely to do with the sending off offence which as I say after looking at the video footage I still can't see what offence was committed for the red card. Yes Burns did steam in and yes he was furious but from what I saw he didn't grab anyone by the throat unless it was cut out / wasn't shown. He was pulled away but then how many times do you see that in a game and if he was going to send players off for raising their hands then how comes neither Tom Bonner or the BW No 7 plus their No 6 who elbowed Burns in the face get red cards as well.
It was poor refereeing and he completely lost control.

I didn't once blame the ref for our loss, the players have to accept the blame for that.
Refs do get blamed a lot at times for our defeats but this certainly wasn't one of those occasions. I still think the officiating on the day was poor but then its about par for the course in this league, virtually every match we seem to get a poor ref of linesman. I can't remember the last time we did have a decent ref or all 3 officials but that's just my opinion and there will be plenty of others including you Coney who will disagree. That's why football is a funny ole game as Greavesie used to say.

Matt, the ref comments were a general direction comment. Just too many Ref comments here after every game, win or lose.

I am yet to watch the video, but I was right in the corner, as I was walking round to the bar slowly, and had a clear veiw. He would have had his back to Ray at the time, so can't see the video catching it fully. But beleive me, I feel the ref had no choice. Lee would have killed the guy if let loose, or stayed on the pitch. Tony may have it right, it was for the way he acted, and how he acted rather than the hands, but you can't have people round the throat in todays game.
I didn't see the elbow, only the aftermath, so whether the other guy should have gone was another thing, but if true I doubt that ref ignored it, just obviously missed it. It's an area where a lineman would have been no help, and we all need to remember he has only one pair of eyes and a few seconds to see things.

Having seen Sonytino's highlights of yesterdays match......

1. I couldn't see anything that warranted a red card for Burnsy (although he did go out of the picture a few times) unless he said something to the ref.

2. Bing's Mate I think you need a visit to Specsavers if you think the BW no.3 made a 2 footed tackle on Ryno which got him a yellow card. Ryno jumped into the BW no.3 and the foul should have gone the other way!.
If you're basing that on Sony's video perhaps you need to go to Specsavers. Too far away to see the contact. I'd like to see Adam's footage as he was right next to the action (you can see him in Son's video). I was around the same distance from the incident as the lino who you will see flagged instantly and was certain the foul was on Ryno. Yes Ryno came in at pace but had feet on the ground while the BW player came across him with feet of the ground and clattered him across the shinguards. Ask a few of the other guys who were standing down in that corner.

Sorry Bing's Buddy but we'll have to agree to disagree on the Ryno incident unless someone has better film footage. I've watch it again a few times even with an expanded picture and i'm still of the same opinion i had at the time that Ryno jumped into the BW no.3 and flattened him.

For the first 30 minutes we weren't playing badly and were clearly the better team. Then the wheels came off and the lads  threw the towel in and got a right pasting.

MOTM was clearly Mario Noto who bossed the midfield for most of the game but since he wasn't on the list I voted for Lee Noble who at least, never gave up the fight.

... oh and I couldn't really see all that went on in the big dust-up that resulted in Burnsy getting sent off, but the one thing I did see very clearly was the punch thrown by Boreham Senseless' number 7. Whether Burnsy or anyone else deserved a red or not I have no idea, but this guy was a no brainer red card. Maybe their manager recognised this was a lucky escape as he substituted him less than a minute later.

The FA site confirms that Lee Burns will, as expected, begin a three-match suspension on 30th April.

It also refers to the suspension of Reiss Noel for two matches from 23rd April, claiming that he is also a Dartford player!!
