keep everything crossed that TB can get anthony henry to stay with us and play at arlesey as seems like he was one of the few to really shine last night although its all systems go for saturday

just had a look at arleseys site and they have had a large influx of new players with at keast 3 seeming to be ex league players with williams [ defender] and belgrave[striker] looking to be a bit useful

my pal who lives near arlesey reckons that they are a jeckyl and hyde team and seem either to have plenty of cash so get good players , then have no cash and lose them but seems currently they haver a bob or two

sounds like it should be a cracking game saturday

A result (win or draw) would be a great start, so good luck to everyone and I will keep the web site updated.

I believe Ryan Hayes, Dave Martin, Eddie McClements and (the new) Jimmy Carter will be enough to see us ruthlessly and mercilessly crush sad little Arlesey into the dirt. I almost feel sorry for them.

I only hope that our defence stays solid enough, it's great that we've managed to sign Anthony Henry but with Gary Carter almost certain to miss the game through injury, do we have good enough cover.

Well lads, the day is almost upon us.

I seem to recall TB saying last year he hoped to get something from every away game. And I'm sure we are all behind that sentiment.

A good opening result at Arlesley would set us up for a good crowd and atmosphere for our first home match.

But whatever the result on Saturday, one match does not make a season.
So, if we win, we mustn't get carried away, a draw will be satisfactory, and a defeat would not be the end of the world! Judging from all the positive comments on the board so far this season from those who have watched the friendly matches, there is every reason to believe we will win more matches than we lose.

I will be watching out for the results with even greater anticipation this season - starting with the updates this weekend versus Arlesley.

So Come On You Darts' - let's go for it lads. Give Tony everything you've got - the players and the supporters.I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good start to the season.

I fancy a 2-1 win for the Darts, with this new guy Jimmy Carter getting at least one of them. It's going to be a tough game though, and I'm sure that Arlesey will be there or therabouts this season with some of their summer signings. They've obviously been throwing a few bob around, and Belgrave is a proven striker at a higher level but we're up for it.

Come on you Darts!

Good luck to The Darts tomorrow (and Sporting Bangals), with the excellent reports from the pre-season friendlies I think we will come away with something from tomorrow. I fancy a 1-1 draw. COME ON YOOOOOOOOUU DARTS !!!

Have the pre-season matches given any indication as to what formation TB will go with?

I think TB's been toying with either the 4-5-1 formation with the two widemen coming into the attack, or 4-4-2, but I guess it depends on who we have available.

Just had a call, and here is the up to date picture for team selection etc.

Gary Carter is out for a month.
Dan Westerman is out with the flu.
Brad Potter is away.

Apparently, we're down to a bare number of people due to a flu-virus sweeping the DFC camp. Oh dear :(
