Just listened to Martin Hayes on Radio Kent on the way home. Loads and loads of verbiage about how he can't understand why his team played so badly, why they weren't up for it, why he doesn't know where it went wrong and other self-pitying drivel. But not ONE word about how they were MADE to look so poor bad by the sheer brilliance of the Dartford performance. In fact, not ONE mention of Dartford at all (other than a couple of indirect allusions in the use of the "local derby"). What a pillock!

Well done guys - only one team was flattered by that score line, us. I have never, in all my years watching Dover, seen a spineless performance as that; we made you look like Brazil. In all fairness, you guys were excellent and played very, very well.

As for our manager, the guy is an utter clown. He made 5 changes from our side that won brilliantly on Friday, god knows why. I cannot stand him - come to think of it, he would be a perfect replacement for Tony Burman . . . . . .

Well done again, and yes, see you next season. Mind you, with Hayes in charge that was never in doubt.

We don't need a replacement!

Brilliant performance !! Best game i've seen in a long time. We never let them settle and were in their faces from the off.
Our back four were superb and out two full backs had blinders today. Midfield never stopped running and our front two were always giving them problems. They couldn't handle us today, simple as that ! Dover were poor but that was down to the performance of the Darts !!
Great atmosphere as well, the best this season by far. Look forward to playing them again next season !
Well done lads, great stuff. We all knew you could do it, wish you put in performances like that all the time and we would be in Braintree's position. Enjoy the victory, you deserve it ! xbop xbop

Have to agree with Levyify about Burchill. That seemed to be the only tactic Dover had - knock it long towards him and let him muscle his way through. But he was so competently handled today he hardly got a look-in: one shot on the turn brilliantly beaten away by Andy and one routine save at the near-post from a tight-angle shot (plus one totally scuffed air-shot!). And John who? Was he actually playing?? xshrug

A truly magnificent performance from the whole team, the very best for a long time, with moments of slick passing beauty that Arsène Wenger would have been proud of! What a bullet header from Sheri for no.1 and a beautiful lob for Danny for no.3! In the last 10-15 minutes Dover were lucky not to go 5 or 6 down, so dominant were the Darts throughout. The more the confidence oozed through the Darts' veins, the more Dover's heads visibly dropped. Talk about shell-shocked.

O that I should have lived to see this day! What a way to finish your home season! Just a pity we couldn't have had just a handful more like it this season.

Might not be a front-runner in the voting, but I'm going to give my MOTM to Paul Goodacre for doing such a sterling job marshalling the defence to make sure that Dover never got back into the game.

Special mention today for the fans, the atmosphere they created was absolutely top draw.
The trumpeter and drummer were excellent and not only added to the atmosphere but helped with some new songs.
Well done to all but especially the young ultras.

What a great day all round.

PS. We have also finished top of the highest attendances by .................................4
So well done to all the 1771 who attended today.

Just popped over to the Dover forum interesting conversation on there, did anyone see Wallis stand up to Martin Hayes as it's the talking point over there!

No sense waiting, do it now! To be honest, i was on the point of posting my worry that while we strengthen through the summer, others might do the same and relieve us of Sherri's company. Not to be considered!

Also been having a read on their forum and its getting a bit lively.
They also mentioned the "pitch discussion" on Radio Kent interview with Martin Hayes but i also missed it because of the presentation taking place, it seems that it was pretty heated.

Silverado, Yes I heard Mr Hayes of DAFC on the radio interveiw and he didn't mention us once, what a great advert he is to the youngsters,I wonder if he is capable of rearranging the following phrase...........GRAPES SOUR!!!..........

Why can't we play these Billy Big B*ll*cks teams all the time. Braintree,Woking,Farnboro' and now our good neighbours from the coast have all left PP with Nothing.
