It's about the most exciting lap or so I have seen in ages, but it is by no means a one off. There was a fantastic 125 GP race earlier this year, and another world supersport race at another track. The 125 guys are loons, and the amount of times you will see 2-6 riders fall off at the last corner is unreal. They ride like that lap all race, every race!
Moto GP is pretty much F1 on bikes, and the amount of times I have fallen asleep watching it this year. Thats the same reason as F1 though. Great rider on a great bike, anyone else just hasn't got the package.
The fitness of the riders is immense too. But they often get arm pump, as when they brake it all goes through the arms. Thats the biggest force, the corners are just a case of getting the thing banked over, not so much G force really.
British Superbikes has been brilliant this year and gets very excitiing towards the end of the year when the top 6 get their points made to 600, then points are awarded for poles, best laps, and podium postions. Imagine if the last 3 races in F1 were the same, so that Vettel had about 612 points to Buttons 603. It's the reason why I now go to the last race of British Superbikes, no matter where in the country it is. The problem is, that the guy who won that Brands race, not in that vid as he was miles up front, actually finished third overall, and scored more points than the 2 in the vid. But thats the rules!
Though the main issue is it's easier to overtake a 3ft wide bike on a 6 metre wide track, than a 2 metre wide car on a 6 metre wide track. I propose that they let a machine cut the power of all cars individually in turn constantly throughout the race, but picking randomly, just as they do with the go karts when you spin. Imagine that, the chaos
