19th August 2005 Notes
« on: August 19, 2005, 08:58:46 AM »

I would like to welcome the officials and players of Stamford FC for our second home game of the new season. We have had a very good start to the new campaign with six points from two games. I know that you all want to get carried away and I cannot blame you for that but from my point of view I have to make sure the players do not think they have arrived and think they just have to turn up to get three points. All our opponents will be difficult to beat as was the case on Tuesday against GWR; to say we made hard work of our win is an understatement but at the end of the day we got three points. In the first two games I hope you have seen the potential of the players as individuals and as a team and what I am asking them to do. On the injury front we still are without Craig Dennis, Darren Penfold and Gary Carter, all of which are two to three weeks away from being fit. Dan Westerman and Brad Potter should return next week and may be so should Tostao. I hope you enjoy today's match as its going to be very difficult but hopefully we can give you the result you want.

thanks for your support
