Just for everyones interest Sidley beat Pagham 3-1 on Sunday so if we can beat Dorking we shall play Sidley or  Deal in the next round. It sounds so easy on paper,if only! :)

Just been looking at Dorking's website...

They were relegated at the end of last season and will play in the Isthmian League Div 2 this year. I say will play, because their league season hasn't kicked-off yet. Thier first league match is on September 3rd!

Their pre-season friendlies saw  2 wins, 4 losses and a goal less draw.

They beat us last year in the Cup, so let's hope we can turn that around on Sunday.

I seem to remember some good posts from their fans after the match on this message board too.

Interesting to think that after 4 games this year, Tony & the boys have chalked up 12 points. This time last year after 4 games , we'd probably gone through 12 new players, none of whom would "have been right for the club"!!!

Up the Darts!

Deal? A good cup side if I remember rightly. I seem to recall someone telling me they won the FA Vase once?

Dorking should be beatable on Sunday provided we are not complacent. But seeing our results so far, especially last night, I don't think TB will let any complacency set in. I'm going for a home win by 2 or 3 goals.

If we continue playing the way we have done, battling and fighting for the points, then we'll be in with a shout of going through. A good cup run would be the icing on a very, very promising start.

Dear all,

As you know I nitified Mark Lawrenson (BBC, Football Focus) as to his entry in the Premier Predictor competition.

I gave him a brief background of DFC and our fund raising exploits. Fantasy league, e-bay auction etc.

Here is his reply:

Dear Steve (that's me)

Many thanks for your letter - Good luck for Dartford for the season - I've mentioned to "Football Focus" about your situation and what would be good would be a "Cup Run" with all that entails Etc.........

Regards Mark Lawrenson

So come on lads, Here's a bit more insentative, not that we need much to progress this year.

By the way, we have 29 entries for the  Predictor including Mr L - I am still awaiting completed forms from Dave Adams, Richard Foord, Fred Leach and Steve Irvine, all of whom have paid.

I can't wait for Sunday

Did anyone notice that EB&Q only attracted 99 to thier FA Cup win over Hamble ASSC.

I wonder how many Hamble brought?

Oh how the mighty have fallen!

You should have asked him for his 3 quid in the post. Probably would have done it, or at least given us a decent excuse :)

I agree with Steve Lawrenson, we need a good cup run, simple as, we have lost game after game in previous seasons that we simply didn't turn up for, how special would it be to reach the first round proper like we did in the good old days!"

Can't wait !!!!    Love it to happen again !!

At least nowadays, whatever progress we can make is rewarded round by round by an increasing payout for the winning team. Anything to help get the extra funds into the club.

As I said before, let's not be slipping up on Sunday !!!

What better way to come into Sunday's match, than to hear that Dave Martin, Richard Avery and Ryan Hayes have all signed contracts!

The future's bright, the future's Black and White.

This is fantastic news that Richard Avery, Dave Martin & Ryan Hayes have all signed contracts with DFC, at least now none of us have to worry about any of these 3 youngsters being poached from under our noses, and if anyone is interested in them then they will have to pay for them.

WELL DONE TONY AND ALSO RICHARD, DAVE & RYAN.
