the first thing to know about them is apart from 2 players it is all change from last season.all the new players have come through their youth policy and the average age could be as low as 20.

they rely on sheer pace so the question for us is how do you play a game when both teams rely on pace .i am not a coach so i cant answer.

they lost their 3rd game but came back to win the next 2 so we must now do the same.

the aggressive headbutting niggling team of last year is gone and they play the game how it should be played.the 2 centre halfs are very goog.in midfield they have a midget called cox (coxy) who tackles like a demon and geirgiou (bubble) who makes them tick.bubble cam pass you to death so dont give him time on the ball, hes a bit lightweight and cant take a fair hard tackle.

the two boys up front, more centre than wide ,are lightning. one is wesley thomas also good in the air, cant remember the other name.as i say the front men dont concentrate on wide positions like ryan and dave but rely on the 2 fullbacks to start the moves. the fullbacks are bastion and james chrysanthou.

the thing i dont understand about them is that the fullbacks seem to be crucial to how the play but i dont think they are very good.as fullbacks they both seem suspect to me especially bastion and he think he is captain.
i'll stick my neck out and say you beat them by keeping the fullbacks occupied and stop them supplying the midfielders.

the main thing is that they younger than us and surely that is something that can work to our advantage, the obvious thing is not to give them any time on the ball and we stay totally focused and proffesional in our play.

lastly i guess they have never played in front of more than 100 fans so why not frighten the shyte out of them. i still say whoever finishes above them will be at least in the play offs so this will be a test.

Good scouting by Rambo there. I was already going to suggest giving them grief from the off because they won't be used to it and it will make them nervous. I read somewhere the average age is 19. Therfore we have to be a lot more partizan than in the FA Cup game.

If they are relying on their 'full backs' to supply ammunition, that could be a major plus for us. If we can get the wing play going like against Cray, we can keep them well occupied. If both teams play their pacey attacking game, we could be in for a corker.

Yes the Darts choir could be important in getting behind the team on Tuesday and it might urge a few more supporters to become vocal, cheer on the team and sing along with us.

It was hard on Saturday with only a few of us singing, albeit to the very end and it was hard to motivate others to join in, given the below average performance.

So lets get behind the lads and spur them on, it might just lift the tired looking youngsters into putting on a show of wing play that will keep those fullbacks occupied and give us another win.

Hello again folks!

Rambo! im impressed! thats some nice work! Like you say, we are lightning fast and very young. However, i think our players have more bottle than you have given us credit for. Against enfield, bubble was headbutted, unseen by the ref, instead of retaliating, he grabbed the ball and said "gimmie the ball i'll show them!" and he sure did!

many of the teams we've played against have insisted in kicking 7 kinds of shit out of us, thinking that because of our youth and inexperience we'd be scared. not the case! our boys aint too afraid to give a bit back.

despite an average age of only 19, we're actually quite expirenced. gavin king, charlie hasler, dave basitan, james crysanthou, marc ward and carlos brown are actually very experienced at this level. coxy has been part of the first team set up for the past 3 years. left winger fola has also been in the first team set up. bubble has been a regualr in the reserves for the past 3 years. wesley thomas spent last year playing for qpr reserves and leon belton-mckenzie was at aveley last year.

so i wouldnt write us off just yet! our boys play with alot of heart and will never give up!

.....i hear that the stand behind one of the goals was closed as it was a death trap! is this still the case?

I wouldn't say it was a death trap, thats a bit over exaggerated but it was completely closed off.

You can go behind that goal now but you won't actually be under cover as the only place you can stand is on the newly layed concrete area directly behind the goal right by the small wall, the actualy under cover stand area is still roped off.
There has been a little barrier installed going right along the wall.

It sounds as though it could be a good fast end to end game on Tuesday night as long as our players play a lot better than they did Sunday in the F.A.Cup. Fingers crossed for another win but we'll just have to wait and see.

hi forest - good to see you active again  - we have won our first 4 games by the odd goal which does nothing for our nerves but we are a good attacking side and we dont kick lumps out of teams

good to see you lot have got rid of the head bangers [ uxbridge could learn from you ] and have a team who want to play

we are not underestimating you [ our managers to smart for that] but you guys are viewed as being one of the better teams in the league and we badly want to beat you to erase a poor performance in the cup yesterday

so look forward to seeing you fans on tuesday but pleeeeeaaaaassssseeee  dont bring that f.....g drum !!!!!!

hi forest, i have said nothing about  your team lacking bottle, i know you have a very good team.i was there for the enfield game you mentioned and the fight back was superb.
i just thought that until you had that moment of inspiration on the left wing on about the 60th minute you were going nowhere, but of course from then there was only one team in it. i just feel that if we pressurise you  , you will reproduce the first 60 minute enfield performance against us.
you will note i have said more than once that for me you are the bench mark , and whoever finishes above you has an excellent chance of going up.i for one hope it is both of us.

here here! from what i know, i rekon we're two of the nicer clubs in the league and some of those with geniune ambition and sence when it comes to spending! i dont really know about you lot, but our wage bill is one of the lowest in the leage i think. i believe its around £550.

id like to see us go up first, then you second, and boreham wood loosing in the playoff final! *evil laugh* now wouldnt that be funny!  :D

forest,  with a small wage bill like that i fear for you as if your youngsters really sustain your high league position then the preditors will move in with the 7 day approaches and promise of more cash , hope  you have  got these boys on contract or are you relying on loyalty ???

we have just contracted 3 of our quality teenagers as we fear the preditors will move in  !!!

we've got all of the young'ns on contract i believe. with the older players, there isnt really much need as most of them appear pretty loyal! bastian's in his second spell, probly now has around 200 apps!

I'm going for the guys to prove that sunday was just a bad day at the office, and bounce back with another narrow win.  Its going to be tough though, as Waltham Forest have made a good start and are clearly a good side.

Mind you, I said that about Arlesey and Enfield Town too!

Come on you Darts!

The word is that we've brought in two new players, who are in the squad for tonight. I don't know exact details yet though :?

Update: The two lads are Tom McGowan from Dagenham and Redbridge, and Lee Craig from QPR. Spriggs will return, but Matthew James-Butler is out with the flu. Dave Martin is doubtful, and John Whitehouse will be signing as cover for Kevin Hudson, but Tunbridge Wells will keep the first option on him.

1-1. Wasn't there, so cannot comment on the performance. Still unbeaten though.
