truro may be nearer mileage wise but gateshead is directly on the A1(m) whereas driving to cornwall you will find a few more left & rights needed!!
not wishing to piss on anyones cornflakes (the more fans we get there the better of course) but seriously look at the logistics involved here chaps!!

You kids of today, can't take a bit of serious mileage. Of course it's do-able in one day, we've done this sort of thing many times in the distant past no problem (and that was back when we only had one driver whereas now they will have two).

We didn't even have roads in those days, just gravel tracks from Londinium to wherever and I can remember Fred Leach standing at the front of the coach singing "Show me the way to go home" for hour after hour, stopping only for the occasional toilet break and to allow Monkey Alan to fall into the ditch they were weeing in. Ah, those were the days.

Oh, it was you I was peeing on, John.  If I remember correctly only Monkey Alan was offered the luxury of changing into Glenn Aitkins' tracksuit. Did it take long to clean that stench out of your jeans? xgiggle

At least now that Truro have paid off the massive tax bill it looks certain that the game will definitely go ahead.

Sounds like fun Duke. Me and Smitman have rounded up a party of 9 (6 of us going to the match, including 3 Ebbsfleet fans who are undergoing conversion therapy with the Darts) and have booked a Friday to Monday break in a luxury log cabin with a hot tub ... hopefully that will keep the 3 non-footballing girls happy.

Hopefully we'll need to take some celebratory champagne down with us too.  :-)

Spike, I have no doubt that The Duke's comment is a ploy to get you to buy some chemicals from him that he just happens to have left over in his garage.

As he's retired now and in need of a bit of cash he's tried this tactic on several of us who sit with him in the bar at P.P.

Be careful he might just suggest that he comes over and tests the hot tub as we only have a bath or shower in our rooms. xwhis xwhis

Please add me to the list Gilesy. As long as I can get to PP for departure time. You may remember we spoke in the bar at Tonbridge Angels last night.

Cheers

I have also had a very good quote from Practical for a mini bus hire of about £300 excluding fuel, this seats 16 people. Happy to drive but if anyone fancying a share of the driving back.

So far we have 10 people listed so getting closer!
