There will be no more interviews with the players as Hummerkid and I have been informed we are not good enough for the clubs image.

I enjoyed the James Rogers interview and was looking forward to many more, this is a regular feature on Wellings and Wokings Fans forum and presumably well received by the fans or they wouldnt continue with it !!!!!!

Fraid so, we had planned to interview Matt Jones after saturdays game, but it appears someone in the club didn't like the amateurish 2nd attempt and has put the block on it.

If that is the case that is a real shame and a bit of a surprise. OK it could have been more professional but it's still early days and you guys are all volunteers and i'm sure you would of got better, more importantly i think everyone enjoyed it and for the vast majority of us it's the only time we'll ever get to hear from the players. Hope the club re-consider because otherwise i think this could be a big OWN GOAL.

Don't you also do the photo's??

I echo those sentiments, Park Life. I really enjoyed hearing Rogo's interview and look forward to more of the same.

It was FAR SUPERIOR than that "Football Exclusives" rubbish that concentrated on wind noise and some robot speaking over music when interviewing Elliot the other week. The James Rogers interview was really good, ok some notes were lost, but hey ho, it was still interesting &
I too was waiting for the next one.

Eagle & Hummerkid's contributions for the club have been second to none & then to be told they can't interview players by some as it's "unprofessional", is a joke.

So what get's dumped next?

Match day commentaries because they're not up to Match of the Day standards?

Sony's videos because they go out of focus occasionally?

Match day programmes because they contain the odd spelling mistake?

The match day announcer because he doesn't talk like he's got a plum in his mouth?

All these things contribute to the fans' identity with the club.

So, who told you to stop doing the interviews, Eagle?  Someone from "the posh seats"?

And if it was left to the club what would we get?  A diminished DFC experience?

What happened to the Dartford "family"?

Eagle, the Rogers interview in terms of questions was good despite losing your notes and you remembered a number of them off the cuff.
The idea of asking fans/forum members for questions before the interview meant that they were going to be of interest and the answers coming from a players personal perspective, rather than the team as a whole.
I to was looking forward to the next interview, but I suspect that perhaps some of the questions asked as supplied by the fans with good answers from Rogo for the benefit of the fans, may not have been to the liking of the management.
Nothing at all controversial in my eyes, but why don't they allow Eagle to submit the questions for inspection not just to the player concerned as previously, but also to T.B. for vetting.
I'm sure T.B. will have his red pen at the ready to censor where necessary, so where's the harm provided he does allow some questions through and the player is allowed to answer them.

Thanks for that comment, John. I'm sure there must be two sides to this.

Duke
If  by "Inner Sanctum" you refer to an internal club matter that is not for public consumption, then you are probably right. I have learned a few times over the years to my cost as representative of the club that it brings responsibility, even though at the time i did not like it.
