I dread to think how the fixture backlog would look then. The forecast is good - its meant to be 5 degrees on Tuesday in Dartford.  xanorak

There's still a lot of freeze to thaw out, though.

They played at Acacia Hall today. Elf and safety gone mad. Hard pitch? Poor grown men...

Gutted as I was with yesterday's postponement (they would have played back in the day ), I think it may be slightly to our advantage to play this game midweek. Although we may lose a bit of cash through the turnstiles, there will undoubtedly be a lot fewer Wealdstone fans cheering on their team than would have been present on a Saturday.

... always looking for the small positives.

If the game is in doubt for Tuesday could we re arrange for Wednesday at short (ish) notice, several games in the last round did not play on the Tues but were swithched to Weds, think it was the games involving Luton V Hinckley, Carshalton V Grimsby.

whilst obviously disappointed that saturdays game was off , there is a lot to be said for a [ tuesday ] night cup tie under floodlights as this adds to the atmosphere and tends to get the crowd more noisy and with the Darts hard core there and LESS of the wealdstone fans could work in our favour !!!!!!!

Fingers crossed for this tuesday night but hey ho it will get on and we have every chance of getting through to the next round , at least we will have the knowledge [ and incentive] of knowing who it will be ??????

by fingers » Sun Feb 05, 2012 8:56 pm

Following discussions between both clubs and the FA a decision as to whether the game on Tuesday evening will go ahead as planned or moved back 24 hours until Wednesday evening will be made on Monday afternoon.
This will take into account pitch conditions at the time and the weather forecasts for both days.
An announcement will be made on both the Dartford FC & Wealdstone FC websites after the inspection is carried outfingers
